Our specialists in hand surgery treat diseases of the hand, wrist and elbow with expertise and sensitivity.

Our hands unite many astonishing functions in a very small field, which are interwoven in a fascinating way.

In order to restore stability, function and sensitivity as well as alleviate pain, we offer the entire spectrum of modern hand surgery. In addition to the treatment of mild to severe hand disorders, this includes Re-Transplant surgery and the treatment of accident-related limitations.

Our surgeons are specially trained and experienced in hand surgery and microsurgery

Comprehensive diagnostics:

  • Conventional X-ray of the hand, wrist and, if necessary, additionally of the elbow joint
  • Dynamic X-ray examination under image intensifier, if necessary with diagnostic and therapeutic joint infiltrations
  • State-of-the-art slice image diagnostics with computer tomography (multi-slice) or magnetic resonance imaging (3 Tesla)  Nuclear medical procedures such as 3-phase skeletal scintigraphy or leukocyte scintigraphy for inflammation and/or degenerative diseases
  • Electrophysiological studies to measure nerve conduction velocity and muscle current strength in carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve constriction syndromes

For your individual treatment and differentiated care, we have all the modern therapy and surgical procedures available:

Non-operative (conservative) therapy approaches

  • Intensified treatment approaches in cooperation with the clinic for pain therapy
  • Intensive physiotherapy, lymph drainage and physical therapy

Operative therapy approaches

  • Minimally invasive nerve decompression for nerve bottleneck syndromes (carpal tunnel syndrome, sulcus ulnaris syndrome etc.)
  • removal of palmar connective tissue in Dupuytren's disease
  • Surgery of the tendon sheath in case of bottlenecks on long fingers and thumb (fast finger)
  • Surgery of the thumb saddle joint arthrosis (rhizarthrosis)
  • Stabilizing and joint-preserving operations on all other joints of the hand and wrist
  • Arthroscopy of the wrist (so-called arthroscopy) for degenerative diseases - such as rheumatism or arthrosis
