Obstetrics

Obstetrics

Every year, more than 1,800 children see the light of day at our Mother and Child Centre. A pleasant atmosphere and professional staff ensure that you experience the birth of your child as safely and relaxed as possible.

Safe, gentle and individual: this is how we accompany you during pregnancy, birth and the time after. Your ideas and needs are the top priority for our team of doctors, midwives and nurses.

In our obstetrics department, we offer you a wide range of options for arranging the birth of your baby - from the type of birth to the different birth positions and all modern methods of pain relief. If necessary, specialists from anaesthesia, intensive care, paediatrics (neonatology) and paediatric surgery are available around the clock to provide you and your newborn child with the best possible care.

Our motto: safe & individual

Under the motto 'safe & individual', all obstetrics departments of the Helios Hospital Group have introduced uniform medical quality and service standards.
Our four delivery rooms and two pre-birth rooms in a cosy atmosphere offer modern delivery beds for different delivery positions. In addition, a birthing tub for water births, birthing stools, Pezzi balls, birthing ropes and delivery mats are available for your individual wishes. The delivery rooms are furnished according to the four elements fire, earth, water and air.
Specialised doctors and paediatric nurses take care of premature or sick children who require intensive care or surgery. In doing so, we use the knowledge of modern obstetrics and the latest methods of premature and newborn care, which we train on an ongoing basis.

Our clinic is designated as a perinatal centre of the highest level of care for premature babies (Level 1).
