The heart of our neuro-oncological centre is the interdisciplinary tumour board. Specialists from various departments, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, specialised radiotherapists, neuropathologists, neuro-oncologists and other experts meet here every week. Together we examine each individual patient case and work out an individual therapy recommendation. In doing so, we are guided by current studies and guidelines.
We then discuss the recommendations of the tumour conference in detail with the patient. During the therapy, which often lasts for months, each patient always has a fixed contact person who advises and accompanies him/her.
The tumour board takes place every Thursday from 16 - 17 hrs.
