Hypospadia
Hypospadia is a congenital malformation of the urethra. The urethra usually ends in the area oft he transition from the penis shaft to the glans, which very often requires surgical treatment. We offer surgical correction for this from the first year of your child's life.
Phimosis (narrowing of the foreskin)
The narrowing of the foreskin is often normal in the first years of life as long as urination is not affected. Depending on the symptoms, an outpatient removal of the foreskin (circumcision) may be necessary. The children can be discharged home two to three hours after the procedure if they feel comfortable. Whether this procedure is really necessary can be clarified in our paediatric urology consultation hours.
Undescended testicles
Before a boy is born, his testicles are still in the lower abdomen. Shortly before birth the testicles migrate into the scrotum. If this does not happen, doctors speak of undescended testicles. If this clinical picture is still present after the first year of life, we carry out a surgical correction of the Situation. We will discuss with you in detail and confidentially which surgical method we recommend. We treat our little patients with great empathy and care. Within the framework of an operation, our specially trained paediatric anaesthetists will provide comprehensive care for your child. On the ward your child is in the care of trained paediatric nurses. We also offer the possibility of admitting one parent as an inpatient.
