Endometrial Cancer

Carcinoma of the uterine cavity (endometrial cancer) is usually diagnosed at an early stage and has a very good chance of healing in this phase. It is important to differentiate between the less dangerous and the aggressive form of this tumour.

Less dangerous, early-stage and hormone-dependent tumours can be successfully treated by removal of the uterus with the removal of the ovaries. The more dangerous form of this tumour requires a major operation with the removal of the lymph nodes and possibly additional post-operative treatment.

As it is not always easy to distinguish between these two forms, a great deal of experience is required to find the right way for those affected.
