During acute treatment, we usually admit your child as an inpatient. In order to enable you as parents to spend as much time as possible in hospital with your child, you can be admitted as an accompanying person.
In addition, the "Villa Sonnenschein" is available for you door to door with the paediatric clinic. It offers overnight accommodation for family members as well as a place to retreat from everyday hospital life. Families can regain strength here and experience a little normality through the closeness to the sick child. If you are interested, please contact our ward staff.

Refuge for parents: Our Villa Sonnenschein
Your child is ill and you would like to be there around the clock. You comfort, calm down, talk to the doctor and support the treatment as much as you can. This can be very stressful, especially if a child is hospitalised for a long time. Parents also need some rest. The Villa Sonnenschein offers a break from everyday hospital life.
Villa Sonnenschein is a project that is primarily supported by the Friends Association for the benefit of children suffering from cancer. We would like to offer a "temporary home" for many parents affected. To recharge their batteries, to exchange ideas with other parents, but also to spend time together in a quiet and cosy atmosphere in the immediate vicinity of the clinic.
Since 15 August 2015, Villa Sonnenschein offers eight residential units, i.e. parents' rooms. Here you can move into a temporary home. In addition to our residential units, Villa Sonnenschein also has a large living/dining area where you can spend time with other parents and your children.
