Breast cancer surgery

We offer you gentle, breast-conserving surgical procedures as well as immediate breast reconstruction with implants or your body's own tissue.

Stage-specific breast surgery

The so-called breast-preserving operations have long been standard for us. We remove the cancerous lumps in the breast with safety margins and the sentinel lymph nodes (sentinel node biopsy) from the armpit. In addition to oncological safety, the achievment of a good cosmetic result is very important to us. In order to achieve this goal, we have co-developed special surgical techniques (targeted oncoplasty) in recent years.

If the breast cannot be preserved due to the size of a finding, we often peel out the entire glandular body while preserving the skin of the breast and the nipple and immediately rebuild the breast in the same operation - with implant or own tissue. We will advise you on these surgical methods in detail and individually.

We recommend a removal of the entire breast if the risk of cancer recurring in the breast is too high or if the tumour has grown together with the skin or breast muscle. In some cases an amputation with subsequent reconstruction may also be advisable for cosmetic reasons.

Breast reconstruction

We offer all surgical options for breast reconstruction. Implants or the patient's own tissue are used. For breast reconstruction with autologous tissue, we work closely with our colleagues in plastic surgery and prefer muscle-sparing, microsurgical flap techniques (e.g. DIEP). The reconstruction of the areola (if necessary) is carried out by medical micropigmentation.

Safety and aesthetics

We want to achieve the best result for you in a medically safe framework. As an essential part of the treatment, we advise you in detail about the advantages and disadvantages of the various surgical methods and draw up a detailed surgical plan with you, based on your aesthetic perception.
